Breezing by my wife on the way out to walk Pepper the dog I said, “Have a good one!”. She was getting ready to go out as well. “No worries!”, she said, and we shared a knowing smile. It was a communication, a bit of word play that implied we were on the same page - a joking nudge at jargon-speak. The alien being in me, eavesdropping in on humanoid behaviour, would ask, have a good what? and, was there something to be worried about?
Coincidentally, I was looking at some old slides last night taken in 1978. They included a photo of "Le déjeuner sur l'herbe" by Manet painted around the same time as Olympia. The painting, at the time, was housed in the Musee du Jeu de Paume. Also regarded as scandalous.
